I was offerd one of these once, the guy said it was SS and my buddy told him he was full of it. He told me it was actually a fire mans helmet? how extensivly were these used?

Very unique and rare I seen a old picture somewhere of a flak unit they were HJ helpers wearing one like this with a Luftwaffe decal visible. timothy
