Helpt with prisoner official sword

Hi All,

last one form that auctioneer that posted a lot of junck but I think this one is actually original. PLease give your opinion on this prisoner offical sword from WKC - I saw it being listed in the original catalogue of WKC.

Also in general, I have the feeling that a lot of swords are not being faked if you exculde fake ecthings - what are your thoughts on that too? So usually you are quite safe when buying sowrds below $1000 without an etch.

I agree with Kurt, this is a Justiz säbel. They are indeed faking these but this particular model as its value, of period, is well above $1000.

The knot is not for Justiz service, being for an Army, Feuerwehr or early SS sword, depending on what color is in the underside dot.

Model 1047 in the WKC catalog just like the ones I own. Does yours have a makers mark under the crossguard?

Also for those more knowledgeable than myself, what are the tells that one of these is faked? I haven't seen enough of this type to even start to check haha.
