This is a new acquisition Minus the skinning knife. Frog is Dried out and brittle. The leather scabbard is hard and brittle also. Blade has some dark black marks on obverse. I do not think this is Third Reich, am I right? Best Regards..

not TR.but a nice one,get some leather soap.
Will do, Thanks
A lovely piece Frank!
Wouldn't mind owning this one myself, even if it isn't TR. I, as a knife collector, really like stag handles.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
What Ralph said. Not TR, but very nice.........!

Nice one buddy.
Frank can you show us the entire blade?
It has a great etch, and i love the heavily silvered fitting, with a patina that makes it looks black!
Its one of the shortest cutlasses ive ever seen, i love it!
i think the frog doesnt belong to it, seems more like a SG ausgeh bajonet Frog.
Regards,
Ger

Superb looking cutlass! Can't say I've ever seen a German frog with a snap on the strap before though. From the looks of the stud hole, it appears like someone almost ripped it trying to get it on. definitely worth some more looking into.
