Default WKC Lion Head Sword Authentication

A family member recently offered to sell me a German WW2 era sword. I’ve had some trouble authenticating it as it has been hard to find exact examples like the sword I have. It is the lions head design, but a unique thing about this piece is the green eyes. I’ve only seen 2 other examples of this style sword having green eyes. It looks authentic to me, but I’d love some more expert opinions. I’d love to confirm whether it is authentic or not, and of authentic what would be a fair value. Thanks and cheers!

Authentic Deutsche Reichsbahn sword, possibly Bahnschutzpolizei, up to about 1938 they had no dagger option.

Thank you for your help! Appreciate the insight from others who have much more knowledge. I would love to know how it ended up at an antique shop in the Midwest where a cousin found it. Seems like I got a pretty good deal given its rarity as well. Appreciate the help!

I would think the number is a rack/accountability number, but it could represent a district. Something to research further.
