I am having trouble posting images-will not up-load

I am having trouble posting images, the images attempt to up-load images, but, it never get up-loaded( I have waited over an hour for them to up-load)? I have notice that all of my previous images (172 images) are still on the page(didn’t delete ?), could the file be full? How would I delete the old images? Is there any way to correct this or should I create a new account?
