Not Recieving notifications

Hi, Im having trouble with certain things via the forum, Im not receiving notifications of replies to threads or that ive had a private message sent to me, yet my settings say everything should be ok, is there any work being carried out on the forum or is there a glitch somewhere

I know Dave, just finding the humour....
It is a bit irritating though, notifications sometimes come two days later.
I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation.
