Renaming links.

Article about: When I post links to other sites, info on the internet etc I simply copy the link and paste it in my reply. Some members manage to rename the link so instead of a long line of words, letters

    Default Renaming links.

    When I post links to other sites, info on the internet etc I simply copy the link and paste it in my reply. Some members manage to rename the link so instead of a long line of words, letters and numbers, they change it to a simple title or a 'click here'
    How on earth do you do that?

    Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

    Hi Adrian, when you open the post reply box as normal, you will see a range of icons. There is a blue one called "insert link". Open that up and paste as normal the link into the box. It will then come up in the reply box and a line of text will be highlighted. Where this is, just rename it with the desired text. So instead of this:

    http://www.redarmylivinghistory.com/

    I can convert it to this:

    Ade's RKKA re-enactors forum

    Usually forum has a special software which analized link and insert automatically the title of webpage into the post
