    Hi, in my opinion, such unique rings are not really worth counterfeiting, because there is little chance that someone will believe that they are original.
    If I put it as a fake, why didn't they finish it and put some decoration on top, because then it's not something beautiful. Although many things are counterfeited in today's world, unfortunately! I don't mean to suggest that it is original, but in any case it is a very interesting ring. However, I would be very interested, if it is indeed original, how did it end up in a French antiquarian?

    The 750 stamp on the inside of any ring usually indicates 750 parts of pure Gold, per 1000 parts. In other words, the item is 75% pure Gold. This purity is more commonly referred to as 18-carat gold.
