Dornier ring, interesting item!

Hi all,
This isn't really part of my collection but it's just an interesting item I bought the other day cheaply and thought I'd show. It's a ring made out of a Dornier aircraft which crashed in Dover (Battle of Britain, I think?) with a coin found in the wreckage soldered to it. A piece of history, I think!

Thanks! Yes, I intend to make it a new permanent feature of my left hand. I only really try to wear jewellery with history behind it; I wear a coin which was found in a shipwreck in 1622 as a pendant, and a Roman signet ring on my right hand
