Nordland Wiking, Icelandic edition.
Hello everyone.
I got an offer to buy one such ring which I'm pretty sure is just a nice replica.
I was however wondering if anyone know's what a real one would be worth and perhaps if anyone knows the story behind them.
Best Regards

I have seen Similar designs, but nothing near the over designed work that this ring has to it. These rings like the one shown are old fantasy designs that have been around for some long time now. You can find rings with the flag in enamel on the face but the extensive eagles on the shoulders etc, not to my knowledge. Sometimes, you may come across one of the Viking Ship rings as well, and these, too, are quite rare to find intact. This ring simply has far to many "symbols" to it-the Nazi Eagles, the SS runes, the Writing, etc. It is like the maker tried to cram as many "Nazi symbols" onto it as physically possible. You can however, find them with the word "Norge" on them for Norway, but they are extremely difficult to find with intact enamel work and in good legible condition.

Hello. The Icelandic,Danish,Swedish,Norwegian and Finnish version of this ring are available at many reproduction/fantasy sites.
A pretty common fantasy ring in my opinion. I'm no expert on rings but I've never seen a real version of this ring here at the forum.
