Skull Canteen Ring - Opinions Please!

Hey Guys, what’s everyone’s thoughts on this canteen skull ring? I’ve had a look at in person and it looks as though it’s well worn. The inside of the ring (behind the cross bones) is quite worn too. This looks like casting flaw lines but appear to be signs of wear(?). The outside of the seam on the band appears to be patched up with a form of bronze-type material as well. Marked with typical 835 silver stamp.



Just I’d run it past the experts on here, rings can be a very difficult (and costly!) element of WW2 German militaria collecting - as I’m sure we’ve all found!

I think it looks fine, a nice well worn ring. These rings are very common and generally not too expensive. It appears to be the same design as mine. Compare....
Perhaps wait though for other opinions as there are a some advanced ring collectors who can give you a definitive answer. Good luck, Al

Your looks fine, the band discolouration is from being sized.
