Skull Ring 2 piece 800 Silver

Here's my newest canteen ring. It's 2 piece with a soldered skull. Marked 800 silver behind the skull. The seller said the skull was rose gold but it might just be plated. Thin band well made and well defined teeth. Looks good to me what do you guys think?

That is a very nice ring, of the known 'tank tread' pattern. Never seen it in rose gold though. Plated or not, I doubt that it would have been sold in any Kantine. It's very shiny. Could be the skull was removed, plated with rose gold and then re-attached. Question is, when? Hmmm...

Thanks, it was definitely cleaned most likely by the seller who deals in antiques in Europe. It might not be plated, I just figured it was because other rings I've seen in this pattern appear to be plated as well. Is there anyway to tell without scratching it?

No idea. You could ask a jeweller.
