I came across this SS Honor Ring for sale the other day. Since I have no experience with any SS rings and since there are so few in rotations I would just like to hear your opinions on it.

I won't even dare to say if it looks even close to a real one or not due to the condition but I thought it was worth bringing the pictures to you guys. I won't be able to get better photos since I've already asked her to take better pictures and these were the once I got

PS; Might have posted this thread in the wrong section, I apologize for that.

I did hear about an old tale about some 5000 SS Honor rings stored somewhere in a unknown location in a mountain cave in Germany

Same goes with the 150-200m train filled with gold and weapons in Poland..

Yes, that old legend about the rings from the Wewelsburg shrine being taken to and blast-sealed in a nearby cave. Lumsden and many others have cited it, but there is not a shred of evidence to it and it's pretty safe to say that it is a complete myth.

But even if such a hoard existed, this ring is not from it:

The photos aren't perfect, but they are good enough to tell this is a clear fake. In fact, one needs to look no further than the August award date, which didn't exist in reality.

Thanks, I was looking to get myself a plane ticket to Germany to go hiking.
You saved me both the plane ticket and the sweat of search in the mountains.
