It's a fake.
The subject of Totenkopf Honour rings is a whole subject in itself and books have been written on this one subject alone. Originals go for thousands of dollars and it is unlikley an original will be appearing on flea bay anytime soon.

Paul

I believe Graig Gottlieb (.com) knows a lot about these rings. Why don't you ask his opinion?

Almost all wartime German rings are faked. Be careful if buying any.
Cheers, Ade.
Ade is correct - About 99% of these TR rings
are modern fakes and fantasy pieces.
I wouldn't bother with them......

Steve.
In this day and time there are not many bargains out there, when I buy things I try to use dealers that have been recommended by the forum ,and a dealer that will offer a money back guarantee and a certificate of authenticity, why would a honest dealer try to sell fakes.A COA letter will help when your family will have to sell your stuff after we enter Valhalla. You might have to pay a little extra but it is worth it.Have you ever heard of anyone getting there money back on Ebay!
Rule of thumb-if it costs less than 10 grand,it's a 99.999999% fake honour ring.
