Re: WW2 Skull ring real or fake?
Sorry Mike, but I have never seen a tr ring such as this. Sadly, I believe the history is it was produced in East Europe to fool collector. I hope I'm wrong, others shall comment soon too.

Re: WW2 Skull ring real or fake?
Simply another silver skull ring - Ebay is flooded with them ! - Hard to imagine
that when someone pays $30 to $100 they think they have a genuine Third
Reich example. (No previous research !) The problems lie in direct copies
of original rings - made to deceive.
In the hands of unscrupulous dealers, the above types could be passed off
as WWII era pieces, but this particular design is just too modern.........!

Re: WW2 Skull ring real or fake?
Sorry Mike, As Steve said, this exact type of ring is omnipresent on eBay. Almost always, the seller is blatantly lying and saying that it's a WWII German ring, which it is definitely not. If nothing else, the cartoonish design should be an instant red flag. I spoke awhile back with one of the German eBay sellers of rings like this and all the other silly looking little skeleton ones, etc etc, and he openly admitted finally that they came from his supplier in an un-nameable country to the East.(I get yelled at if I dare to mention the name outloud here...) They artificially age them by applying a coating that resembles heavy tarnish and age patina but is easily removable if desired. Beneath this coating, you'll usually find a pristine new ring.

Re: WW2 Skull ring real or fake?
O.k thanks for the reply guys, I'm not that concerned about authenticity, just wondering if anyone had seen one similar and where it might have come from.
All the searching on-line hasn’t reviled another one like it so far.
Oh well at least its unique anyway (it sure is a g_d dam ugly f&#ken mo-fo that’s for sure).
Thanks again
Cheers

There is usualy an .800 under the ring in the middle or on the right side, It looks like an early model SS ring, but it is fake
