    Here's a button I've had for years and never been sure what it was or the era. I assumed it was WW1 as it came with other WW1 badges I bought at an antiques shop. It's a steel button, with brass loop at back, about 20mm diameter with a crowned Lion rampant insignia. Can't be sure if it had maker marks on back.

    I would appreciate any information or ideas, thanks. Sorry photo not the sharpest.

    Hello,
    the Belgian pieces of equipment that I have do not have a crowned lion and the tail is different ....
    I don't think it's Belgian.
    The photo is bad, but I know the Bavarian Army had similar buttons.
