That’s pretty neat! Probably rather rare but I $2,000 is rather much I would think. Don’t collect Civil War stuff or buttons though. The Goldsboro Rifles were CO A 27th Infantry from North Carolina originally formed in 1859 after the Harpers Ferry raid as a militia. Goldsboro, NC is about 60 miles from where I currently live and they were engaged in quite a few larger battles in this part of the country.

Here is a auction result from a sale on catawiki I once made.
3.500 euro on a lot of hat formes, that only are worth like maximum 400 euro...
I couldn't understand what happened, started doubting I missed something, somewhere...
So I went to bring the stuff personaly to the lady who bought it and asked here why!
She answerd me she was alone and drunk the night the auction ended en kept on pushing the button.

I allways wundered how drunk the second bidder must have been...???
