Article about: Two more RKM stars. These are currently being offered legitimately as copies - after being sold already as originals and assumably being returned to the seller. Whatever, they will always be
Personally, I never thought I'd see the day, as authentic examples are still plentiful - IMO.
However, I suppose it was inevitable.
This one measures about 35MM and is very crudely made. A few have been offered (and sold) by a small number of sellers in Germany. It was cheap, so I had to have it just to see it for myself.
What I am trying to say is that if another is ever being offered in the future as "Leningrad siege made" or "field made", or even the basic "ORIGINAL", or "VINTAGE" - pay that claim no mind.

PS - They are also doing M34 Railways stars. I thought I grabbed an image, but am unable to locate it in my image files.
I also suppose that most of everybody knows that the flood of 1930s Militia stars being offered out there are clearly reproductions, right?
It will only be a matter of time before they are fake-aged and offered as original. I have already seen one that was brought to my attention by a fellow Russian cockarde collector.

One of these FUFLO two piece types has been offered for sale on eBay as "VINTAGE", and has been listed in the "ORIGINAL PERIOD ITEMS" section recently for a smidge under $50.00U.S.
I can not repeat this enough - Ask questions BEFORE you buy.

I've actually found in Germany various copies of that star. Some even on ebay.de, many in shops and flea-markets.
The seller on ebay directly told me he never saw such a star and he believed it was faked, so I did not pay attention at all to the other ones I found around..
I've also met some of the M34 Railways stars on the German ebay, but always listed as "modern copies".
