Looks like an M1943 tank officers tunic with Lieutenant shoulder boards.
Great thank you!
Not the most interesting story inherited from my cousin when he died last year along with other items. He and his father had collected military items and guns for many years. As for my family I have my Grandfathers log book from WW2 as a corsair ace. It has interesting entries like shot down zero and convoy escort, dumbo escort I will post eventually in the US section. Thanks for your help.
Thanks for story, even though limited and not so exiting. Glad it went to someone who appreciates it. Look forward to seeing your Grandpas items. I like PTO items.
Regards, Steve
I would love to have this tunic in my collaction. Very nice!

Nice tunic made from US made Lend-Lease material. The piping on the cuffs is a nice, and early touch - same with the early type shoulder-boards with silk tress.
I own one of these also and covet it.
Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam!
Thanks for the new info! it is much appreciated.
