M42 wintercoat mannequin

Article about: I finally had some time to occupy myself again with my mannequins and this one is my latest creation. It displays a frontline soldier in the M42 wintercoat (Bouchlat if I am correct?). Both

An easy fix is to crop the pictures so that they are slightly wider than tall, and then they should stay in the correct orientation.

    Cheers,
    Steve

Great display! Just curious what buttons are with this jacket, looks like some fabric-covered or it’s just a photo?

That is just the photo. The buttons are only metal. Can make a close-up after work

I hope this pic is good enough to show the button (getting the backside on the photo is difficult, I don't wanna ruin the thread of the buttons):

WOW! once tilted the pictures are just great. I rely like the shrapnel damage to the E-TOOL handle.

I prefer to have well used and well worn items in my collection. Lots of Soviet gear and uniforms one will find nowadays are unworn and unused old stock and depot items....without story. The shovel has damage indeed, the coat has major signs of wear, schrapnel damage on the backpack f.e.. Exactly the way I like it

I'm a big fan of used items too. More of a story to tell.

I'd say that bushlat is 1935 pattern rather than 1942. The 1942 pattern was simplified; no cuff strap and the additional material on the shoulders deleted.
