I cannot really judge this.
If you bought an original badge for 25.00 then I think you were lucky.

Let me start off with saying I have no experience with these badges. However what strikes me is the lack of details that we're used to on Soviet and Russian badges and awards. Even on such 100+ year old badges. Therefor I have a hard time believing this to be an original.
