    Hi Guys,

    I collect mostly Hungarian cold war stuff - with some NVA, etc. here an' there...

    I just saw this Soviet winter uniform for sale - coat+pants...
    Looks unissued - you guys like?
    There's a marking on the pants and on the bottom of the coat with LOTS of numbers... What would be the size and date of manufacture? (My guess is 1980s?)
    This would be my first Russian uniform, have to start somewhere.

    PS: I'm thinking the coat might the the "inside" of a parka, hence the plain bakelite buttons ...

    Size 4 made in 1984.

    I did a quick internet search - looks a bit like an Afghanistan "Peschanka" (sand colored) uniform...

    It is Peschanka, I can see no chest/sleeves pockets on the coat though.

    Thanks for the additional info - I'm brand new at Russian/Soviet uniforms - maybe it's some kind of variant issue?

    This one is for the officers.
    Ideally with the inside pocket on the coat.
