Hi Jerry, that is fine, the instruction originally stated "drill" to be used.

I had no doubts it was fine Ade, I just posted it to show that it was normal for these to have this feature. The use of different fabrics by different makers was also common, just using up what they had in some cases.
My post war pair has the green shirt fabric instead of the lining fabric.
