Would 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards be correct?
It's a shame I can't quite make out the name.
I understand that one of the medal ribbons is for Northerm Ireland & the other United Nations (Peace Keeping Cyprus) Founded 1964.
Slowly getting there...
So I came across the following information online. With regards to the uniform being 1980 pattern there is a chance the insignia is post this date which may suggest his time in Germany, N.Ireland & Cyprus was after this time. See below.
If anyone can should care to comment I would love to hear more.
