My Father William T. Grist Mechanic 901st. Ordnance H.A.M. Heavy Automotive Maintenance in Coveralls with painted light bulb for Christmas tree Christmas Southern France 1944... My father would go to Duke Law School after the war and practice Law until 1968 when he was appointed Superior Court Judge by the then Governor..BILL

It sounds like your Dad took advantage of the GI bill when he got home. Sounds like a very successful life.

Yes he did use the GI BILL he went all year around and finished undergraduate school and law school in five years..BILL
