Does anyone know how I can find out what unit he was with? Included was his pay book and immunization record. NARA shows he enlisted in 1942 as well.

Does anyone know how I can find out what unit he was with? Included was his pay book and immunization record. NARA shows he enlisted in 1942 as well.
Beyond NARA it is extremely difficult, especially since it has a generic airforce patch. May we see pictures of the inside of the pay book?
Will take a photo now. I was told a AAF tech badge with propeller specialist hangar was separated from the group and that at the estate sale his daughter said he served with the 8th AAF overseas and returned home and wore this patch.

Received the only document not burned in the records fire and it was just another pay document. So I'm at a dead end as far as research goes. There are shadows on trhe collar of round discs bigger than collar discs as well
