New Zealand Great coat, Dismounted, 1940 pattern

Here's a New Zealand made "Greatcoat, Dismounted, 1940 pattern."

Made by Cambridge Clothing company (in NZ) in 1942 , probably December but unreadable. New Zealand Defence Force stamp inspection/acceptance stamp is January 1943. This one has the bakelite buttons ("New Zealand Forces and 4 stars of the southern cross). I would think production of the bakelite buttons began early 1940's, to replace brass used earlier. This is a big heavy coat for a 6 footer. Only minor mothing.



Actual colour is closer to the dark shade in the first photo.
