Hello again, I have picked up a pair of slant pocket nam' jungle fatigues that have been modded with short sleeves and strips of reflective tape on the sleeves and along the spine. any idea of what these were used for?

Hello again, I have picked up a pair of slant pocket nam' jungle fatigues that have been modded with short sleeves and strips of reflective tape on the sleeves and along the spine. any idea of what these were used for?
The reflective strips make me think that they might be some sort of Air Force or Navy Related possibly for landing purposes is my guess
I know but if they aren't rare, I want to make a brown water navy shirt or a 9th ID shirt
Some images would be helpful I have seen pictures of soldiers at the airport in Saigon directing helicopters wearing reflective materials on there ERDL's
