    Don't worry, definitively US Army M43 double buckle combat boots. Made by the EDWIN CLAPP & SONS INC, however difficult to say if wartime or postwar. Hard task now - finding list of contracts awarded to the CLAPP INC. If no M43 boots were ordered after 1945, you are at home .

    They are good, French double buckles have a huge tread. Picture for reference.
