However, there were other patterns of special overalls worn by the ATS girls when doing other work. Storekeeping, while not glamourous, was an important task.
Here is an overall made of tan coloured cotton material. The 1941 dated makers label is the paper type like found on many early war items of uniform.
It is cut in wrap around style and fastens with an integral belt which passes around the body.

This is the same type of overall, but this time made out of denim. I have two of these, both 1942 dated, so I am showing both labels, even though they are the same.

This is a different pattern, called "Overalls, working, ATS".
Made of tan cotton material. Ina frock coat style of cut. It pulls over the head, but it buttons up almost all the way down the front. There is a half belt at the rear. Buttons are the removable type, the same as found on mens denim BD's.
