Hello,
Just picked up this WWII coat.
Any info would be appreciated.
Also, does the patch work look authentic?
Thanks

All looks fine. The patch is for Consabulary in Europe.
Cheers, Ade.

As always you are a great help.
Wow nice trench coat! I also bought one at a market for 15 dollars it is dated february of 1945 but no patches. And the rank on your coat is a 4th degree technical sargent. May i ask how much u payed for it?
Thanks
Ryan
Thanks. I purchased it at a flea market for $45. That is actually a little high, but it has the Consabulary (occupation force in Germany & Austria) patch and stripes. Also, it fits me and is in great condition so I didnt mind paying the premium. $15 is an excellent deal. I have another one I got for $30 which is about what they go for (no patches).
Compared to prices in the UK, I think you did well.
I paid £15 for my US Greatcoat back in the early 1980's.
Cheers, Ade.
