Royal Engineers 1949 Pattern uniform made 1956
Hello
Finally I bought this wonderful complete Royal engineers uniform
British uniforms were rare in germany and I bought this quite cheap
It is in very good condition in the colour khaki
The insigna on the shoulder is a unknown for me
The rank is also unkown
All in all a good uniform to share with you

The symbol of a "Mailed fist" represents and armoured "punch" and the same insignia is today used by 20th Armoured Infantry Brigade which is based just over a kilometer from my house!

I like the 1950's gear, its well made and not too pricey. You have a nice uniform there! (But I have an Engineer bias LOL).
