hi_WRF_members_I_got_this_old_KD_today.I_think_it_ is_ww2_era._I_been_trying_to_reaserch_the_name_in_ the_jacket_the_only_Lt_flynn_that_I_could_find_tha t_was_an_engineer_was_this_guy.the_number_on_the_j acket_is_not_right_though.

I_got_these_records_off_the_National_archives_of_a ustralia_web_site_the_only_documentation_I_could_v iew_I'v_added_pictures_of.My_guess_is_he_was_A_jap anese_POW.On_the_site_if_you_put_in_his_name_and_n umber_it_comes_up_that_he_gave_testimonials_for_wa r_crimes.What_are_peoples_opinions?Could_this_be_t he_same_person?Any_help_would_be_great.

Thanks_jerry_I_was_very_happy_to_get_this_one.It's _missing_a_shoulder_title_a_button_and_some_format ion/Rank_patches.What_do_you_think_they_may_have_been? I_did_try_F.Lynn_and_even_lynn_but_there_is_no_rec ords_at_all.No_records_match_the_number_either.

There_is_only_ evidence_of_there_being_patches_on_and_removed_fro m_one_arm.Is_this_a_normal_occurrence?I_thought_on _British_commonwealth_attire_they_had_both_arms_ma tching_with_insignia?Sorry_I'm_still_a_"L"plater.. ..with_this_type_of_thing.

As it has sergeant stripes on one sleeve, perhaps it has been messed with, as it is named to a LT. Having insignia on one arm is seen used by the colonies, not sure if the Aussies did it, but I think the NZ did it.
