I am guessing Canadian WW2 Signals..?

Thanks cats, I see the button...I just have not seen a Canadian uniform that this would have been taken from. Could this have been from an earlier era like Militia, perhaps WW1..? I have not seen many British Class "A" s up close to know if this is from their side of the pond or mine.

I can almost gaurantee that it is from a Commonwealth uniform. I doubt it would be Australian, as there would be a boomerang under the figure and the colour would not come from a Aussie uniform. It does appear to be from a ceremonial or mess dress uniform. Your point on Militia could be correct , but unless you have an idea of the time period it may have come from it is difficult. Militia uniforms were a lot more "colourful" and this may lead to this shoulder board being from that inda period. I have no idea on Canadian, so I cant help there.

I am going by the crown, and that looks like WW2. The pips are clean, and the little groves are not full of fine dust, so I don't think it's been around a terribly long time...
It was loose in a box of other stuff, and I have to admit, because I didn't recognize the gold trim straight away, this was one of the reasons I bought the lot...
Does the British Signal Corp have that type of trim on their boards...?

Mess Dress shoulder strap for a Colonel of Royal Signals mate.
Pity you dont have the rest of the uniform to go with it, current prices for an Officers MD is around the £1800>£2500GBP depending on rank and regiment/corps.
