    A named officers tunic formerly belonging to Captain (later Major) Michael Brian Davies-Jenkins 1st Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers. It dates to the period the RWf were part of the Welsh Infantry Brigade (1960-1969) which is shown by the Welsh Dragon AA buttons which were later used by the Royal Regiment of Wales. The missing collars would have been the standard bronze RWF officers Dragon on a flaming grenade.

    A short history of his service is below;

    Captain Michael Brian Davies-Jenkins #445835 1/RWF
    Gazetted LG 28 February 1956 to be 2Lt. from officer cadet with seniority from 16th December 1955.
    Gazetted LG 12th December 1961 to be Captain
    Gazetted LG 29th December 1967 to be Major

    1954-1958, 2Lt with A Company 1/RWF
    1959-1960, Lt. Training Subaltern with the training Depot
    1960-1961 Lt. A Company 1/RWF
    1961-1962 Captain C (Training) Company, Bulford.
    1962-1963, Captain, Signal Platoon HQ Company 1/RWF Singapore
    1963-1966, Captain Signal Platoon Iserlohn & Minden
    August 1968, Major on exercise with 1/RWF Kenya inc. climbing Mt. Kenya
    1967-1969 Major with Admin company, Company HQ & B Company
    7th May 1967, Attended memorial service at Christ’s Church Cemetery near Ontario to commemorate the loss of the Commerce in 1850
    1969-1972 Major, B Company Commander
    Gazetted LG 16 Jan 1973, Major, Retired on Retired pay
