USN M41 Jacket, real or fake?

Hello everyone!

I recently picked up what I believe to be a USN M41 Jacket at a surplus store, and I'd like to ask for some opinions on it. To me, it looks alright, although I'm skeptical due to its apparent lack of markings (that I can see anyways).

What do you guys think?

It´s an USN N4 field jacket. The zipper has been replaced and dates from the 1950s.

Would it kill American to desing some good looking uniforms for once.

That was my first thought of this tunic.

Tell you the truth I wish they would stop changing them so soon! I retired from the US Army in 2014 and recently saw a soldier at a local store that was in line in front of me at checkout. In looking at what they wear as a service uniform now I don't believe that from the boots on up that anything they issue in this uniform now was what we wore in 2014!
