Who can tell me the age and rank of this Navy Uniform?
Article about: Hi everyone, I got these Navy uniforms from an estate sale. Could anyone tell me more about them? Are they from WWII? The size is small. Someone told me they could be from Submarine, because

He was a Hospital Corpsman.
Note the medical insignia on the rank patch.

Yes, US Navy.
I cannot tell you an accurate date for them sorry. They could be WW2 or be 1950's or even later. The problem is the patterns did not change much. Hopefully someone will be able to tell you more.

Could be submariner or anything else, including attached to USMC which was/is served by the Navy Hospital Corps (as Royal Marines are served by Royal Navy medical staff). I suspect that a Corpsman would wear the same qualification breast badge as other submariners...and this does not appear on the uniform.
Submarines aren't a good berth for men over average height, but I've never seen any statistics to suggest that submariners are significantly smaller than average.

The sleeve insignia is for a pharmacists mate. WWII rates used a red cross. Jumper is probably 1946 to 1950.
