A 1943 dated machete in a 1942 dated leather scabbard. The machete is made by S&J kitchen Ltd and is in well used condition with a cracked grip. The leather scabbard is in poor condition, which is quite common. It is marked J B Brooks & Co and has a barely visible date of 1942 beneath it.

I changed mannequins and have shown him with the officers webbing equipment. The kukri has moved to the left side. He is armed with an Enfield revolver No.2 mark 1*

Not Jungle Greens, but the same theatre of war. An RAF Flight Sergeant c.1945.
I have had the bush shirt for some time, however, I have only just purchased the buttons and buckle to go with it. What I believe to be Chinese laundry marks are stamped inside. The shorts are 1945 Indian made although Air Ministry ones do exist (I have never seen any for sale!). He wears mosquito boots on his feet.

Not exactly ‘jungle’ related but a nice 1940 dated marching compass made by T.G. Co. Ltd which fits very nicely in the 1940 dated compass pouch.

A bit of info from the online Compass museum

    Marching compasses 4

T.G. Co. Ltd. was the abbreviation used by The Gramophone Company. This firm merged with its subsidiary His Master's Voice (2/3) and with Columbia Graphophone Co. (1/3) in 1931 to become EMI (Electric & Musical Industries) who continued to use “The Gramophone Co.” trademark for various items, changing it for the War contracts to just T.G. Co. Ltd.

    T. G. Co. disappeared as soon as WW2 finished. This company name was probably used to keep secret the manufacturer's real identity.
The letter 'B' in the serial number means that this compass was in reality produced by F. BARKER & Son.
