A 44 pattern jumper / pullover. The shoulders are slotted to allow shirt epaulettes to be buttoned through them.
Although not very clear in my terrible photos, it is dated 1944

An Indian made square ended machete following the format of an indigenous machete: the 'Dah'.
The leather scabbard is dated 1945. It has an opening down the length of one side to allow it to be drawn quickly and easily.

An Indian manufactured tie. Not that you can really see in my image, but it is dated 1945

An early war pair of Indian manufactured KD shorts in just the short of condition that I like. These were issued to Commonwealth troops across North Africa, the Mediterranean and the Far East, so who knows where they have been. They do have the remnants of their last excursion in the bottom of the pockets though! Some sort of gravel and vegetation (it’s not tobacco, which is what I thought it was at first).

The shorts are clearly stamped 1940 and all of the buttons are dated 1939.

A Royal Malay Regiment Songkok dated 1940.

Unfortunately I don’t have a Malay mannequin, but the Songkok just about fits on his head. Although looking at some of the photographs I’m wondering whether I should have put it at a more jaunty angle.

Arguably the most famous member of the regiment was Lieutenant Adnan Saidi Adnan Saidi - Wikipedia. A movie was made about his heroism which I’ll have to try and hunt out and watch

I’ve managed to get a 12th Army slouch hat to go with the battledress blouse that I have.
It’s Australian manufactured and dated 1942.

Unfortunately I’m very busy with work and don’t have time to play dress up at the moment so these images will have to do.

Christmas is fast approaching, I’m moving house in the New Year, but sometimes things pop up that you’d be fool not to buy (at least that’s what I told my wife).

An Indian manufactured jungle hat dated June 1945. Unfortunately as everything is packed away I can’t do comparison shots with the British made one that I have, however, this one would appear to be greener, and going by the condition and some marks on it, I would suggest that is unissued. I’m not sure what the other stamp is next the date stamp but the top part looks like an “M” (medium?).
