Hey guys, haven't been on in awhile, just wanted to show my new WW2 USMC M1, it has the first pattern cover and early war green hardwear, it's a fixed bail witch dates to late 42 to early 43 according to the heat stamp, hope you like it.

Perhaps I am missing something, but the cover looks odd. Any detailed close ups or pictures of the reverse?

The color, pattern, and construction are way off in these pictures (IMO). Compare it to known original examples and I think you will see what I am talking about.

in picture 2 it looks out of shape at the front.looks like it has no brim .could you take a picture with the camo off please ?
by the way i just want to see what the shell looks like LOL .have not actually seen that camo much but i gotta say its quiet a cool one ! cheers
Here are a few more photo's, flash on and off, this helmet came from a local marines estate, i also have his named HBT fatigues and a few other items, i had no reason to doubt it's authenticity, as for taking the cover off, your going to haft to trust me, the cover is dry and fragile and i don't want to damage it.

Other than being salty and sun bleached, I think it's a good one!
i think yours might be a repro something about the stitching doesn't look right here's some pics of my original first pattern cover to compare.
