Hi All,
Received this as part of a grouping, however I'm not sure if it belonged to the vet, so sharing separately. Vet was an Officer who served with the 501st PIR during WWII, and counter intelligence during Korea. Seller believes it was part of the group, but didn't seem overly confident. I of course wasn't going to turn it away, because WWII helmet, right?!

Shell is a nice fixed loop (696A) with a Firestone liner. Back of the shell has an Officer follow-me stripe. Liner has signs of what I assume was an EM Army insignia attached to it at some point. Additionally, a kid named Scott must've used it to play war, as his name is written on both side of the liner (trying to confirm if the vet had a son or grandson named Scott).

In any case, what are the thoughts on the follow-me stripe? It's made from medical tape, which is not unheard of, but it's very off center. Original, or part of Scott's war games?

Opinions, good or bad, are appreciated. Thanks in advance!
