    Question Help authenticate this!

I am considering purchasing this ww2 m1 helmet, but the liner looks minty enough that I'm suspicious. The seller is telling me that the liner is MSA with reproduction chinstraps. I can see that it is missing its sweatband. I can see that the shell is front seam and it looks tall enough to be ww2. pictures are attached below.
    thanks for any help

Much bigger pictures are needed... and a 'thanks' goes a long way to getting a reply too.

I personally would pass on something that has reproduction parts on it..

There are plenty of good period WW2 helmets for sale.. just do some digging, they are out there..

Well if i were to get it i plan on replacing the leather chinstrap and sweatband with good condition og ones. (i have a friend with both who told me he would sell them to me) But if the liner is repro then its useless to get it, which is why I have posted my query here. But are you saying that the liner is repro?

    Thanks and Regards,
    Gabe

The liner is real but as Smitty said there are way to many reproduction parts on the helmet and liner. The helmet looks to be repainted. I would truly pass on this one. Thank you for Sharing the helmet and if you need any more help please come here first, I guarantee we can save you for heartache and your wallet.

You are kind with your words but there are more qualified members here than me.
Back to the helmet, if you purchased an original leather chinstrap, that’s 50-100USD. The straps on the helmet are productions, the shell looks to be repainted and last but not least it’s a swivel loop. You are trying to put lipstick on a pig with this helmet.
