Something tells me this isn't even American. The shape of the pot looks odd to me especially from the side view
Well it's a European clone shell more experienced members will be able to tell you exactly what country it originates from.!!!
What is mean "Clone shell" ? I want learn
A Euro Clone is one of the copies or "clones" of the US M1 which were manufactured by a large number of European states after WWII. Some of them are almost identical to the US M1 but all have some differences.
I'm not a Euro clone expert but I think this might be a French M51. I'm sure one of our members who specialise in these will know for sure.
Regards
Mark
PS The French M51 is based on the US type but has a re-designed shell profile.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
Turhan,
Unfortunately this is not a US manufactured helmet. The term "CLONE" is used to identify helmets that look like US helmets but were made in other countries such as Belgium and other EU nations. They look similar to US manufactured helmets and in many cases used similar specifications but they lack the heat stamp number and other US qualities. CLONE is another word for Copy.
I hope this helps you and maybe you can get your money back.
Best regards

So......and just for argument sake ..."could" this be a Korean War used helmet. But used by one of the UN participating countries "other" than the US?
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

MAP,
Excellent Point... The Greeks used what appeared to be M1 helmets as well as US field gear.. so that is a good possibility.. not sure if it was US surplus which would seem logical so close to the end of WW2...
