Hi. I am new to this site.

Both are ww2 produced one is a McCord and the other being a Schlueter!there should be an "S" stamped near the front where the stainless steel rim butts together.the McCord has a digit missing so more likely 96?G.

I see a stamped 'S' under the '24 A' just right of the white spot, so a Schlueter indeed.

    Thank you very much!

Unfortunately there is no an "S" stamp... or I can't see it Maby it's Schlueter without an "S"?
    But I think, I see blurred "1" between "24" and "A"

"241A" what do you think about it?

I think I still see the upper half of an 'S' in both pics you show, but it's faint... Right next to that white spot?

Edit: I just noticed your pic of the seams. Schleuter spotwelds are usually round, while McCords have oval welds. The shell on the left has oval welds but the one on the right seems to have round ones?

Nope... there is some kind of scratch.

Maybe here... but maybe it's my imagination?

In this picture I see it better than in real...

Definitely more round than the left helmet (McCord).

P.S. How can I edit my post?

Having looked at the pics again the pot in question is carry the famous dimple over the loop so it has to be an early FL McCord which has been reworked as the swivel Loops have been placed away from the rim something that was a regular practice in nearly all post war production.i think this shell has a 3 digit number 241A,if it does turn out to be an "S" then its very unusual to see a dimple stamp.either way there both WW2 produced shells.!
