Named M1

A friend came over last night and brought this M1 with him, is there any way to tell who the owner is, or what unit he was in.

Charles Spring. From Lycoming County PA. Enlisted in Philadelphia in 1942. Looks like he was part of the USAAF.

Well, that was quick, thank you for the information.

Does it show where he served, or with which unit.

No. They are just the enlistment records. So only basic information. But it gives a strong basis for deeper research. Interesting info though. He was a college grad and was an actor!

Glad to know he survived the war though.
