Hi all. I recently acquired this US M1 helmet Woodland pattern cover in a box lot of military gear. I am wondering the significance of the large "V" printed on either side of it...something I have not encountered before. I was thinking maybe used to indentify someone of importance or certain group during training exercises perhaps? And if so whom?
Does anyone out there have any idea please?
    Many thanks Jason
