Hi there,
I would like to introduce you to another M1 helmet from the Vietnam era from my collection.
It is a fairly heavily worn complete set.
The shell is an early production by Ingersoll, ca 1965, Heat stamp "1 1155 A", which was painted in OD # 319 before changing to Munsell 10Y 3/3.
The P 1964 liner, marked "US 62" was manufactured in 1965 and is made of laminated cotton duck.
The liner is named "Beach" and has an eagle drawing on the front.
The sweatband is from 1964.
The very worn helmet cover was made in 1965.
The chinstrap bears the anchor symbol and was therefore manufactured by North & Judd.
