Hey guys I recently picked up a pair of these M1 helmets with liners. I'm not much of an expert of M1s. So I would like to know as much as I can about them. All thoughts and opinions welcome, I paid 50 bucks for the pair of them along with Vietnam era belt and canteen, hopefully I didn't over pay I don't think I did.

I will look it over more closely when I get home but I will tell you the chinstraps and liners are post Vietnam.

    Hi there,

the liners are definitely made after 1972. When exactly you can find in the stamps on the side.

The chinstraps also date from after 1972/73.

With the shells you would have to show us the heat stamps to be able to say more.

    Regards
