It is a Firestone liner.
It is a Firestone liner.
A quick search says the Fit Via Vi insignia belongs to the 773rd tank destroyer battalion. Very cool! The clover is for the 4th army (state side during wwii)
Have you looked at the inside of the dome for the Firestone makers mark?

There is a Firestone mark inside dome. Another helmet I picked it up at the local gun show. Could the wearer have served with both units?
I guess it is a Korean war liner strap with a WW2 shell with post wat decals?
Sorry. I misread your initial post. I thought you asked "if" it was a Firestone liner and not that it "was" a Firestone liner.
That said, your post is confusing and cryptic as I didn't understand what the specific question was. All I saw was a title that says "what about this liner?"

I wanted to know what this liner was used for? Stateside use. Was it used in the field? Thats all.
All liners were used everywhere. No specific stateside liner or other.

That's a 4th Army decal.both liner and added decals done in the 1960's.
That is all I wanted to know. Thank you. Will
