    Looks like a very,very nice front seam shell to me, with what appears to be the original cork finish,thanks for showing!

    Now this is what I expect to see when looking at an original ww2 McCord Helmet,same colour and texture as my lid,oct 1944 one of the last front seamed with the last war pattern buckle.well done doc and thanks for sharing..........
